A hobby. That’s how Hallmark was begun. H.R. Hoffman and his wife, Betty, owned a general contracting business, Hallmark Development Company. They were looking for something other than construction to keep them busy in their retirement. In an office complex they were leasing, one of their tenants skipped town but left his merchandise in the suite: boxes and boxes of 3.5” floppy discs. While they were selling them, a customer asked for help trying to find an unusual cable. And there it began! From October 1988 as Hallmark Development Company to Hallmark Computer Supplies, and now our revised name: Hallmark 'the cable place'. So, it’s: “HALLMARK the card place? No, HALLMARK the CABLE place! With so many years JUST working with computer cables, we differentiate ourselves from the ‘big guys’ because we know our cables, and we know how to help our customers! Plus, we’re less expensive (by far) than the ‘mega stores’! Our specialty is custom-fabricated and special-order cables. That includes a variety of military spec and government-regulated, obsolete plus cutting-edge newer technology cables as well, plus many, many others. Since we’re located here in
